What is a Can-am ?
Can-Am is a brand name used on a well respected range of motocross and enduro motorcycles in the 1970s and 1980s when the brand then died.
In 1999 Bombardier, the makers of Sea-doo and Ski-doo launched their first quad bike. The Bombardier-ATV Traxter 500.
In 2006 Bombardier Inc. sold their leisure brands back to the Bombardier Family and licenced the name Bombardier to them for a short time.
The logo was changed and the brand name changed to BRP - Bombardier Recreational Products.
For a short time the quads were branded BRP Bombardier ATV, but this had to change soon afterwards.
The brand Can-Am came back to life and Bombardier ATV became BRP Can-Am.
Can-Am has expanded from quads to include their Commander side-by-side and Spyder reverse trike ranges
